In June, after a 21 year hiatus, the UBS Trophy resumed official racing of America's Cup Class yachts in Newport, Rhode Island. The UBS Trophy, an event hosted by Team ALinghi, winners of the America's Cup 2003, was held from June 19-26. A True North 38 served as the official photo and media boat.

Team Alinghi faced the formidable BMW ORACLE, during the 7-day match racing series. UBS, the global financial services leader, was the title sponsor of this exciting event, which also included a full complement of on-shore festivities to celebrate AC Class racing in Newport.
